Auditing services at large and medium-sized companies

Large and medium-sized companies and some not-for-profit organizations are obligated to issue an audit assignment to an external accountant. The audit firm that accepts such an assignment must hold a permit granted by the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) for the execution of statutory audits. Assignments for which this permit of the AFM is required are carried out by Meerwijk Stanton Group Chartered Accountants, who is in the possession of such a permit. This permit is valid for all enterprises except public interest entities.

The involvement of the AFM and many new rules and regulations since the introduction of the AFM-permits in October 2006 has led to a more formal approach of the audits. Just like other accountancy firms we also have to stick to these rules and regulations. By extensive use of IT-solutions we can nevertheless carry out the audit quickly and effectively.
